DENS develops and supplies advanced mobile energy and battery solutions for demanding sectors—ranging from construction and ports to critical infrastructure and inland shipping. We are a rapidly growing company with around 170 employees, founded as a TU/e spin-off and based in Helmond.
We handle development, engineering, and manufacturing in-house: the figures here represent real machines, real projects, and real margins.
What are you going to do?
- Handling month-end closing and management reporting, providing narrative context alongside the figures
- Preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Calculating project results and cost prices—and identifying the reasons for any variances against initial estimates
- Gathering information from engineering, production, procurement, and sales to validate your analyses against operational reality
- Building and automating reports and dashboards, leveraging AI and smart tools where possible
- Assisting with year-end closing, subsidy processes, and audit documentation
- Proposing process and system improvements as we scale up
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Economics, Accountancy, Finance & Control, or a similar field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in controlling, audit, or finance—experience in a manufacturing or technical environment is a plus
- Pragmatic: you opt for the answer that is correct and practical, rather than the perfect model
- Curious and outgoing—you proactively approach people to understand how things work
- You enjoy working with AI and automation and already experiment with them on your own initiative
- Strong skills in Excel and ERP data, but you don’t spend your entire day immersed in them
- Fluent in both Dutch and English—you have a strong command of both languages
At DENS we build clean energy solutions for the future. Our IT supports engineers, production and service teams all working on the same systems, so the effect of your work is immediately visible.
